Users may need to switch between apps during the login or verification process — for example, when getting a code from your authenticator app, or text messages. Here’s how to do it smoothly without interrupting your login.
Why You Might Need to Switch Apps
When logging into the DAT One Mobile App, you may be asked to:
- Enter a verification code from another app (like Google Authenticator, or Auth0...).
 - Retrieve a one-time passcode (OTP) sent via text message.

Switching between apps allows you to grab that code and return to DAT One Mobile without restarting the login process.
For Android Users
Option 1: Use the App Switcher
- Open DAT One Mobile App and begin the login or MFA process.
 - When prompted for your verification code, swipe up from the bottom of your screen and pause in the middle (or use the Recent Apps button, depending on your phone).
 - Tap the Authenticator, Messages, or Email app where your code is stored.
 - Copy or note your code.
 - Return to DAT One Mobile App by reopening it from the Recent Apps list.
 - Enter your code to complete login.

💡 Tip: Android keeps your login screen open in the background for a short time, so you won’t lose your progress if you return quickly.
For iPhone Users
Option 1: Use the App Switcher
- Open DAT One Mobile App and start logging in.
 - When asked for your code, swipe up from the bottom and pause in the center of the screen (or double-press the Home button on older iPhones).
 - Tap the Authenticator, Messages, or Mail app.
 - Copy or remember your verification code.
 - Swipe up and pause again (or double-press Home) to open the App Switcher.
 - Tap DAT One Mobile App to return and enter your code.

Option 2: Use Notifications
If your code arrives as a text message, you can tap the notification at the top of your screen to preview or copy the code — without fully leaving DAT One Mobile.
Extra Tips
- Enable AutoFill for Codes:
iPhone and Android can automatically detect and fill one-time codes sent via text message — saving you from switching apps.- On iPhone: Settings > Passwords > Password Options > AutoFill Verification Codes
 - On Android: Settings > Google > Autofill > Autofill with Google > One-time codes

 - Don’t Force Close DAT One Mobile:
When switching apps, avoid closing DAT One Mobile completely — this may restart the login process. - Use Copy/Paste if Possible:
Many authenticator apps let you copy the code directly to paste into DAT One Mobile.
Still Having Trouble?
If the login screen resets when you switch apps, try:
- Ensuring background activity is allowed for DAT One Mobile
 - Updating to the latest version of the app
 - Restarting your phone and trying again
