Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enhances the security of the login process by adding an extra layer of verification in addition to the password.
- Once you have completed the SSU process and are ready to log in for the first time to any of the DAT Products you have purchased, enter your email and password, and click on the login button.
- After successfully entering your login credentials, you will encounter the new MFA flow. This additional step ensures a higher level of security for your account.
- In the MFA flow, you will be prompted to enter your phone number. Only enter a 10-digit phone number. Do not include the country code in the phone number, the country code is selected from the drop-down menu. This step is crucial as it allows the system to send verification codes for authentication purposes.
- Once you have entered your phone number, you can choose your preferred method of receiving the verification code. The default option is usually text message (SMS), but you can also select a voice call if desired.
- After selecting your preferred method, wait for the verification code to be sent to your phone. You will receive a text message or a voice call containing the code. Enter the code into the designated field on the login screen.
- To ensure a successful login, make sure to enter the code within 3 minutes.
- Upon entering the correct verification code within the time limit, you will be granted access to your product.
- After the initial MFA setup, subsequent logins may not always require the same procedure. When logging in, you will have the option to click on the "Remember this device for 30 days" checkbox. Enabling this option will exempt you from going through the MFA flow for the next 30 days on the same device.
- On subsequent logins, you can receive the authentication code via email by choosing the option to USE ANOTHER METHOD.
