We’re always working to make our network more reliable and efficient. As a result of this work, some of our network metrics like MCI have been experiencing and will continue to experience changes. We wanted to give you an update on what we know today and make a commitment to keep you informed as we complete this journey.
We know that this data is a powerful input to your operational workflow and forecasting models. We will be able to provide backfill data and in addition to a preview window from February 19 to March 5 to see pre and post values side by side for comparisons to ensure continuity as you analyze trends across the transition.
Specific Changes You Will Experience and When
- Load Searches: We anticipate a decrease in 5% - 15% for overall load search counts before March 6, 2026.
- Equipment Searches: We may see a 50% to 90% decrease in Equipment searches before March 6, 2026.
- Postings Impact: We may see up to a 10% decrease in load posting as TMS integrators move off legacy Integrations before March 6, 2026.
After March 6, 2026:
- Load and equipment searches: We may see an increase up to 10 times because multi-equipment searches will now be counted instead of discarded. Searches will also be consistently validated across all equipment categories, providing a cleaner baseline for reporting.
- MCI forecast accuracy improves: Approximately 25% of forecasts may shift by 10 percent or more based on improved search inputs.
- MCI values: May change by up to 5 points, driven by more accurate load post data.
