Auth0 Guardian is a mobile app that allows you to receive push notifications for multi-factor authentication (MFA). To use this feature, you’ll need to install the Auth0 Guardian app on your device.

Download the Auth0 Guardian App

Tap the icon for your device—Android or Apple—to download the Auth0 Guardian app.

Setting Up Auth0 Guardian

  1. While upgrading your MFA to a more secure method, select TRY ANOTHER MEHOD.
  2. Select Notification via Auth0 Guardian App.
  3. If you haven't already installed the Auth0 Guardian App, you can install it in this step by choosing your device’s app store (App Store or Google Play) to download the app. Otherwise, tap Continue.
  4. Open the Auth0 Guardian Appon your phone, and scan the provided QR code.
  5. In the Auth0 Guardian app, tap “➕”, and choose Scan code.
  6. When the scan succeeds, your device will automatically register with your account.

Logging In with Auth0 Guardian

After you've set up Auth0 Guardian as your MFA method, you can use it during login:
  1. You’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device from the Guardian app.
  2. On your mobile device, open the notification and tap Allow or Approve.
  3. Once approved, you’ll be signed in.
